The Ramblas

The old umbrella store.

The Miro Mosaic on The Ramblas. A boy with a ball.

The worship of The Jamon.

Look at the prices of the different quality of ham. Who could care that much about ham? Not me.
Our guide explained the differences...how the pig is raised, how it is treated, how long it lives.

Dessert Tapas, Chocolate Con Churro

I hve to find the name of this place. It was such a lovely little sweet shop. It was about to close. I have Chocolate with lady fingers. The chocolate is hot and this in the cup...no one could use the whole cup. You did the lady fingers or the churro into the chocolate. It's delicious, but too much.

More Tapas in the Basque style

This was another place on the tour. I didn't like this as much. The served us a kind of pink champagne called Jacqueline.

I had this one, whipped tuna.

The Wine and the Sommelier

Great Catalan Wines.

Demonstrating

I give it a try coached by the guide, Erma.

The Bostonians

The Tapas...or the sausages and cheeses.

Goat Cheeses...the Americans would not eat it or didn't like it.

I couldn't eat this slimy sausage with egg.

The challenge, a traditional old school way to drink wine. This would hang off a man's belt.

not sure...sardines?

Wine and Tapas Tour

I met a group of people, all American except 3 Australians. The first stop was at the Moritz Brewery that has a very nice wine and tapas bar. They have Incorporated the roman ruins under the structure. It has an interesting history.
