More beauty. These roads may even be closed in winter. There are lots of hiking trails and it's great for serious cycyclers.

This is a pretty nice ski area from what I can see of it. The surrounds are beautiful. It must be really something to get up to this area when there is snow.

See the X...I was really on a back road...I don't plan these routes, but feel my way along. I was trying to get to Abetone, so I just follow the signs.

This was one of the best meals I had in Italy. No one else was in the restaurant...There were the usual suspects hanging around the front drinking espresso, watching sports.

This is the first time I drove this way so I have just a few snaps. The weather was perfect, the views were outstanding.

Padule di Fucecchio near Pistoia

After leaving Florence, I started driving west and north to end up in Barga. I took off down a side road that looked interesting and I ran into this area. 

I would love to go back in the spring to shoot there.
