In search of Van Goth's Bridge

We drove south into the Camargue  to try to find Van Goth's Bridge. We never did find it but we did find sheep.

Sunny Day on Monday

On Monday we departed from Arles...to Les Baux. On the way we drove down roads lines with Plane trees. Do read about the Plane trees
http://www.vintagegardengal.com/2009/06/15/provence-beautiful-plane-trees/
Many towns trim these trees back to stumps in the winter. I need more info.
\And then there are the cherry groves surrounded by tall trees to protect from the wind.

Hotel Belvedere

in Arles. I would stay here again. It was very nice...be aware that there is no elevator so you need to stay on floor # 2.

Some Nice Dogs in Arles

Both of these dogs hang out all day outside of their owners stores.

Arles

Just a few shots in Arles. I plan to go back and take many more pictures. It is a great village, there is all the Van Goth sites and many ancient Roman Archaeological sites as wells as sweet cafes.

The Card Player

My car was parked in a spot overnight in Arles in front of a "locals" cafe/tabac". This man allowed me to take these pictures. They were playing cards early morning for hours.
