New

So much still to edit.
These are all 7 am at the agriturismo.

Drive down the mountain at about 6pm.

I had to "see a man about a horse", urgently so took off into the woods on one side of the scary bridge. I came upon this ancient water well. When I mentioned it to my friend Olinto, he wanted to know how I found these places that not even he knows and he lived there his whole life.

The Back of Carrera.

Part of the Park at Monte Orecchiella

At this point it was pouring. I was in the middle of the woods when it began. There were many slugs...they were the side of my hand when they are bended in half. Yick.
There is another garden in this area, you hike up to it, I never made it.

Mountain Garden

Too early, too wet and too foggy...but beautiful.

Zinnias

This is the Peony that I saw in the woods.

Some Odd Site on the way to Monte Orecchiella

Ominous Smokestack

Huh? this was on top of a mountain.

I came across this bridge on the way up. It was very very very high up...scary to look down.
Olinto tells me that it is a famous suicide bridge.

Monte Orecchiella

I missed a lot of what is on this site...I would love to go back when the sun is out.
It is stunningly beautiful.

The Last Full Day in Tuscany, May 2015

I got up early so that I could head out to take pics.  It was pouring, but, that has never stopped me before. I started driving north looking for an alpine garden in a new area I had never been in before.
I got a little lost but didn't worry. I stopped to have lunch and would worry about being lost after. I had a very nice ham and procuitto sandwhich ( hot) on foccacia bread, with a Moretti Beer on draft ( A piccolo biera spina!)
and had a nice read of my kindle.
After, I got more lost, and eventually found my way. As you can see the clouds and the fog were beautiful.
