How the big camera sees

A little earlier...Firenze from Fiesole.

Piattiefagotti , Fiesole

a very nice place we found on the way down the hill from Fiesole. We had started at another place with a view ( somewhat) of Florence, but we both had a bad feeling about it, so left...
This place was great except the menu was a bit unreadable the way it was written. The people were so nice at other tables that they helped us. We both had a type of sliced steak that was excellent.
I had an odd "english dessert that I thought was ok but way too indulgent for a person that rarely eats dessert.

A brief stop in Settignano.

Gorgeous views of Firenze.

Olive Grove near Settignano.

That beautiful light! I have shot in this olive grove before. Can you see, there was a smudge on my lens...top middle.
Big camera pics to come.
To me, this is the ultimate experience...to stand in this field with grasses almost over my head, yellow/orange tuscan light streaming in....a slight wind...what I hope will be included in heaven for me...and, I will have a camera.

Lago Di Romena / chillin'

Carp fishing lake. We watched a boy pull in a very big fish, maybe 24" and then throw it back in.

They have a restaurant too. I prefer my place in Rufina...but the light was beautiful here.
There were 2 American women with their children. One mother was braiding one girls hair that was on her lap, under a blanket. The other girl was braiding the mother's hair from behind.
It reminded me of Trinity and my friend JM and her girls. That, I miss about SF.

Little American girl with a bright green Popsicle.

chillin' in a nice place.

2 Nutty Guys

selling wine cheese and ham on the side of the road.
I had stopped to try to get into a field next to this road stand to shoot some poppies. We ended up buying all kinds of stuff from these 2. Everything was made by them...wine and cheese.  They were very sweet ahd had that wonderful Italian spirit.

La Sosta ai Busini, Castiglione

I am always so happy to drive up to see the house and property here in Castiglione. The first time I came to Europe, to Italy, I came here. The people are like family. Things have changed and they had to sell the main house. It was a Medici-Peruzzi hunting villa in the 16th and 15th centuries. Now it is being gutted and redone for some tv producer. It is very sad to see.

Here is a very old link for it.
