A Beautiful Saturday on L'Esteron River

We went on a very nice outing on Saturday to a beautiful river, L'Esteron. The entry point is past the (very cool) village of Gilette. There were many cars there already by the time we arrived.
You walk for about 20 minutes, winding downhill to the gorge/canyon.
It's so beautiful, the water is turquoise and the rocks are smooth and white. S. tells me that the water was very low.

Over the bridge...can you imagine how wild it must be when the water is high?

The dogs jump in first. ( not Zook)

Meemo in heaven...

S. found us a nice spot in the shade to have a picnic with a beautiful rapids and a pool for the dogs to swim in.

Can you see his head?

He loves the bubbles and current.
