I am in Barga now. I took a long route to get here...lots of great pics, but I can't get to it tonight.

Today

I am off to Barga via some new ( o me) back roads. I am always sad to leave Florence. I feel more and more that if I move to Italy, it would have to be to Florence.
If you are reading this blog and have never spent time in Florence, you are missing out on one of the most beautiful places in the world....I am talking about the city and also the immediate countryside.
I can never get enough of it....Watch what shoes you wear. The old stone streets are very tough on the feet, knees, legs.

I need to figure out the busses next time. I traversed the city many times...everything is within walking distance, but, the hard streets get to you after awhile.

Beef Stew marinated in Chianti and peppercorns...cooked for hours and hours. So good.

After, I had gelato at Vivoli...Black chocolate with red hot pepper!!!!!! Incredibly good.
