There are many tourist restaurants in Verona. I wanted to find some place different. On the way back to the hotel, I found this little place down a very small vicoli. I thought, why not.
When I walked in...there were 3 old Italian guys and the blonde woman that ran the place.
They have a few tables in the back ...and I asked to have dinner...They all seemed surprised. It seemed more like a place where the old guys meet to drink coffee and chat. It was filled with chotskies of all sort.
Note the melange of cat pictures in the back room. It was an interesting place for an active eye like mine.
I ordered a picket of red wine, a small plate of salami, and lasagna ( not the lasagna with donkey meat!!! the regular lasagna.) . It was very good.
The only problem was they had on bad Italian rock music on the radio and it was staticky in and out , very annoying...and loud.
The woman was so nice....She took good care of me...wanted to offer me wifi...no no, I had my kindle.
I ordered .
