Plage Keller, F. Scott and Nudity.

Saturday afternoon, we had a nice glass or rosé at one of the restaurants on the sea on Cap D'Antibes. The beach faces Nice and The Bay of Angels as it's called.
There are 3 beaches here but the middle is Plage Keller. Plage Keller was where all the fabulous people went to swim and lounge in the early 1920's...Picasso, The Fitzgeralds, Ernest Hemmingway The Murphy's....It's hard to imagine now.

BTW...don't tell anyone but the first time I went to France, I sought out Plage Keller. There is a tiny piece that the public can go to...it's really small, crowded and not very nice. You are surrounded by restaurants and people who rent sun bathing beds for the day.
I sat down and slowly got up the courage to take my top off. It was a big thing for me. I had wanted to be free like most of the French women on the beach.  It was not very comfortable, but I did it. I even stood up and went into the water. I can check that one off my list of things to do.
Bay of Angels

Plage Keller is between the 2 docks. ...It is so crowded and it's mid September. Imagine what it's like in the summer.

This is the public beach that is closer to Antibes. Look at that beautiful light with Old Antibe's ramparts in the distance.
