Your Typical Italian Supermarket

In this case, Upim, in Ventimiglia. S. likes to cross the border to get olive oil at his special olive oil place and go to this supermarket for a special soup he likes. 
As with most markets like this in Italy, It is jammed into a small space and with a dirty and crammed parking structure. The store is old and run down and in a tiny mall that is dirty and with a few other stores. 
After all, it is Ventimiglia...and Ventimiglia is Italy, but very tired.



choosing just the right zucchini with good blossoms. He is a connoisseur. Note the huge bags of green beans below...what do you do with that many green beans? It's not like you can make soup from it...I suppose you could but have you ever heard of green or yellow bean soup?
