Very cold and windy morning. Voila...no hot water in the shower and no answer at the front desk. Hot water in the sink though. They were not overly apologetic when I told them. They are stingy with water.
Had a quick breakfast and headed out for the #16 bus to get to the airport. Of course, it started sleeting and I got wet. I brought a hat and although it doesn't look too good, I was glad to have it. ( It is a long hair hat.
Got to the airport easy as pie...got the rental car and was thrust into a quick study situation...The gears are totally different than my car...It's a nice Audi.I was worried that I was not going to be ok driving it. I seemed low in the seat...anyway, I got out to the highway and started on the road to Bastogne.
No traffic, just travelled along nicely. As I got closer to Bastogne, the land ( Belguim now) was pastoral...beautiful. The sun was going through the gloom to light up just spots in fields. There are so many pine forests here. They are so beautiful
I decided it was time to get lost and I just took a random right toward nowheresville.
