The Grund

The non assuming elevator.

Grund (LuxembourgishGronn) is a quarter in central Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. It is located in the valley below the centre of Luxembourg City on the banks of the Alzette River and, in addition to being a picturesque area, is a popular nightlife precinct which can be accessed by foot or via a lift which descends through the cliff. As of 2011, the quarter has a population of 784 people, of which only 33% are Luxembourgers.[1]
The Grund is also home to Mosconi, a two-star Michelin restaurant which specializes in pasta.[2]

I couldn't find the elevator that takes you down to The Grund, so I grabbed a cab. This is a lovely little area low down below the city. There are walls and cliffs on both sides. On my way back, I found the elevator. I thought it was a big class box that descended through the cliff to get you down to the grund. It was a plain elevator that you would take to go down into a parking garage.
