Spaghetti Ragu and then Beek Stew with Polenta, then Tiramisu. Way too much food and a very odd combination. My stomach didn't know what to make of it.
I love the pic of the gondolier on the phone...the shot with his and my reflections.
I saw a girl, with a bright red candy apple. I saw all kinds of dogs. The Venetian like their dogs.
I saw a big group of Russian sounding girls, teenagers, with heavy heavy make up on. They seemed to be in competition with each other. I saw a little boy kicking at pigeons, I heard American accents, clear as a bell. I saw a million Venetian masks for sale and all kinds of glass objects. I went to a tiny grocery store that you could barely turn around in..very frustrating place. I had to ask a non English speaking man if what I was holding was milk.
I look a gondola, for 2 euro, across the grand canal with a few other people. You stand for the passage. I got lost a few times. I had to ask directions twice. I turned down buying an avocado for 2.50€ but admired beautiful fruit in the Mercado. I watched people posing for pictures on The Rialto Bridge, making the faces that people make when they pose for pictures.
I went to the Ca' D'Oro and saw the beautiful St. Sebastien by Mantagena. He is pierced by arrows

They also have some beautiful Renaissance Madonna and Child paintings and other similar themed works .
