In French, when you say, "I miss you", you actually say "You miss me".
I could not tell you why.
In English, when you say "I miss you", you just say "I miss you".
So in French, if you say "I miss you", you are really saying...."you're missing me, aren't you."
and then the French person thinks you are silly.
and you never forget that lesson.
