Today's Self Portrait and a nice dog.

Tired! Not very good sleep last night. Emile was not feeling well and was curled up next to me all night.
You can see my scar in this pic...( long story...German Shepherd / Lake George/ blood/ hysteria/ 32 stitches, plastic surgery, sand paper....et voila)

I had some good help today with French. My chiaropractor helped me learn  "to relax" relacher
and "soulager" to relieve. He talked me through both of these words and how they can be used.
He does not speak english...and sometimes he goes off, speaking too fast. I tell him...you just spoke so fast that all I heard was blah blah blah...he laughs..."French is very difficult".
I was able to tell him that he was being too gentle with me...not in a straight forward way. After that...he got stronger and the adjustment was better.

Then a woman in the Jeff de Bruges chocolate store taught me how to pronounce Bourbon. It took her a few minutes to understand what I was trying to say. I wanted a tiny piece of chocolate with rum or bourbon.
Bour Bon..pronounced deep in your mouth

I can't stress enough how nice the French people are to me when they know that I am trying to speak French. I am no longer afraid to try as they are so nice. When I first got here, I was too shy to speak, but now, even though my French is wanting, I march right in and speak.

Nice dog that works in a hair salon. Has better French than me.
