A clam is a clam is a clam....

As it turns out, the french word for clam is Palourde ( which I can't pronounce so well). This refers to clams in general...and there are a few types in France as in The States. You cannot find steamers or littlenecks  or Quahogs. However, they do have a clam that looks like Cherry Stone...and what is the french name for these clams you ask??? "Clams"! I even asked and they are called clams!
They are be 1 euro each.
