The oyster comes cut in half. On the table are all the utensils that you need except for nut crackers ( pincers). It is not served with melted butter. I was uncomfortable about asking for butter ( when in Rome)...so I started without it. I kept eyeing the big slab of butter sitting in front of me for the bread. Finally I called the waitress over...OH, she forgot the nutcrackers...sorry about that...and of course you can have melted butter...So it all worked out. It was pretty good.
The cheese cake was different, but very good.

| they serve the oysters with the tops on. They don't pry them open, somehow they cut the top of the shell and lay it back on so it keeps the oysters fresh. |
