The People

The Pizza Oven, seems like everyone has one.

Most of these people are related to Alessandra. Two of them are her sisters and the others are husbands and kids of her sister. They are all very nice. Only her one sister and the white haired man speak limited English...no problem for me.Neil Sedaka vs the Rolling Stones. 

Someone started singing a song, "Carol"....I thought they were trying to get to the song, "oh, Carol" by the Rolling Stones. no! They kept insisting, Ne il Se Da Ka. I kept saying no...what ? Neil Sedaka? As in singing in the rain...to which they all broke out in singing in the rain ( as in Gene Kelly) I meant laughing in the rain....it was a jumbled mess. Everyone was consulting their phones and sure enough found a Ne il Se da Ka song, " Carol". 

They were right, ... I got my IPad and found a Rolling Stones you tube video from 1964 , black and white, mass hysteria in the crowd. See if you can find it. Mick jagger is so young. He barely moves, no dancing. He looks bored, but I think that was his thing. It's really interesting to watch. After they do the song, they just take off and run back stage. The curtains close and the fans try to rush up but are met by police kicking and pushing them back.

No one there , none of the italians had ever heard that song before. Is it an obscure song?  Of course, it was written by Chuck Berry. I prefer that Carol.

And if you haven't ever seen it, check out Van Morrison's first performance on the Ed Sullivan Show. He looks angry and ready to run. You could tell that he felt it was very uncool to be doing. He sings Brown Eyed Girl.
