Madame L. My Landlord

She is a non stop garden pruner. She can't help herself.

I came back in the afternoon and found her obsessively pruning a hedge ( spruce) that is my yard. This was the result.  She's kind of nutty.

We were talking about the woman next door whose husband died and commenting on the fact that she is now alone. He daughter has gone to to college in Aix.  

Madam L. said that is's sad that she's all alone now to which I said, Me too, I'm alone. To which she said...You're not alone! You have me!

Oh, how sweet was that?
