With my vision on high, I spot these 2 big older dudes. This was between the acts and I thought for sure they were the 2nd band. They carried off the western ranch cowboy look so well, Tight plaid shirts with snap buttons, nicely curled cowboy hats, jeans worn just right, cowboy attitude, body positioning. I thought they were American. As most of you know, I have had an interest in the PBR for a long time ( Professional Bull Riding)

That interest has waned, but I loved to go to the events and people watch. I have been visually steeped in it's culture.
So I mosyed up to these 2 dudes and said are you American...One of them said NO with a smile, and I thought he was kidding me. So I said "I can spot the real deal." They said nothing, no "Well nice to meet you little Lady, where are you from?". I walked away scratching my head. Were they snubbing me cause they were Country Western Singers? Did I look really stupid ( probably) ...what was the deal? I looked closely at their boots, that was the only possible give away...they were not super pointy reptiles . I stood back, watched them and they went and sat down in lawn chairs with a bunch of other people in the audience.
So, I think No, really meant Noh! and I guess I can't spot the real deal.
That's what I get for chatting people up.
side note...I still do like the PBR and it's culture.
