The bald man in the black jacket with glasses was the expert. People had their knives, baskets, and listening ears on. As we walked into the woods ( Piste Roman) people would go off into the woods and seek out mushrooms.
I hung around the edges. I didn't need to speak fluently to find the mushrooms. When people would find something interesting, they would bring it out to the man expert who would hold it up and speak about it.

| This man was a bit of a jokester. On the way back, he thought he found a very special red mushroom. He took out his knife, leaned down to cut it, turned it over and voila...it was a strawberry...he got a good ribbing over that. |
