Emile swam for about 40 minutes against the river. He wasn't chasing anything so I am thinking he was just enjoying it. He would push off rocks to get him back into the deep. He watched for bubbles and leaves as they come down the river so he can bite at them. Mostly, he was just loving life and it did my heart good to see him happy and healthy. I came so close to losing him. I will have him for such a short time period anyway...but now he is back and I am loving every minute.
I should say Kate is a wonderful dog with her own quirks. She loves to stick her head all the way underwater to get a stick...she barks really loud and in a piercing manner. She likes to be toweled off when she gets home.
