S. knew that I had been missing a decent steak. I can't seem to find one here. I can't even find one at the superamarket. I would have to go to a butcher.
So she wanted me to go to this restaurant to try the steak. It was excellent!
It is a very tight place and it is always crowded so it's fun. We had a table right on the edge, perfect to see all of the action.
They have a huge wood burning oven, like a pizza oven. They cook the steaks deep in the oven using long paddles. For the more expensive steaks, they bring them to the table uncooked so you can see them.
After dinner they give the women a tiny shot of Lemoncello and the men get a tiny shot of Calvados.
The wine was flowing.
