Servian Wall meets Modern Day

This really says it all about Rome. This ancient wall runs through the bottom floor on the main train station.  This wall is dated from 378BC, from the time of the 6th king of Rome, Servius Tullius. It is made of tufa.
In fact the station, Termini, was built on a whole complex of ancient buildings. Some have been reconstructed in The Palazzo Massimo.
I just love the juxtaposition. The bottom 2 pics are actually inside of a Mc Donalds.
