Next Day...Metro

I like the idea of riding the Metro in every city I go to...so, we bought full day tickets ( my idea...4.50 euro each) thinking we could hop on and off to go to various sites. We found out that we didn't need the Metro at all. Walking was easy between sites and between the hotel and the Centro.
I bought a big map of Genoa at a rest stop on the way there. The map is good, but it makes the city seem much bigger than it actually is.
We bought are tickets and descended into the Metro. We had had the centro area on the map xeroxed so as to not drag around the huge map itself. We must have been looking at the map when an older gentleman came over and helped us, without us even asking. So nice. In fact, he stayed in view of us through the whole trip. When we came out of the Metro, he was there and pointed us to where we wanted to go.
The Metro went from completely empty, to the packed train, filled with teenagers, most of the boys with Beiber hairdo's. Teenagers in mass are very loud.
