Happy Upon Happy

I am happy to report that my brief foray into town today, I spoke French the whole way. I went to the post office for the first time in La Colle. I had to send a small package to the States. The man could not have been nicer. He had a huge French nose, which I adore. He found me a good rate and I did the whole thing in French...merci Monsieur.
Then I stopped in to see "Lambert" who told me that is wife was coming back on Sunday. We talked about a few things. His friend was there, a mysterious man with a floppy black hat, baby blue sweater that matched his bright blue eyes and a big beer belly. He told me that he was Parisian and that Lambert was a country bumpkin ( so to speak) I need to photograph that man with the light blue. Very interesting character. Lambert has all kinds of interesting cronies.
Then I went to Marche U the local expensive convenience store. I bought a brown coeur de boeuf tomato that was very ripe, had to be eaten right away. I had a small conversation with the woman sitting behind the register about how fragile the tomato was. I told her that I'd eat it tonight.
On my back back to the house my friend Jacquey flagged me down to ask how I was . He told me that he was keeping busy with Bricolage , which I now understand to be handy man type jobs. He continues to be very sweet.
But, I did it all in French!
