It's a beautiful day today. I am getting over a nasty little 3 day bug that forced me to lay low. The dogs and I took the path at the end of the road that I live on. It leads to a modern cemetery and at the way end is a horse back riding school. This is the same area where I met Yves and his wife, picking Asparagus. I am a little wary of letting Kate off the lead. She came home with a tick 2 days ago. It was a mean little black spot with violent looking pinchers. I found it in her ear and was able to extract it before it started it's awful job. I thought I had disposed of it well, but that night, I was lying in bed, reading and all of a sudden I saw something jump at me. I got out of bed and ripped the bed apart looking for it. I finally saw it climbing up the white wall. I took a tissue and thought I had crushed it...a few times, but it was still moving. I was sick so didn't want to get out of bed again so took some Ben Gay like spray and gave it a good dousing...I thought for sure that that would do it, but it was STILL moving. So I picked it up and flushed it. It came back to me in my dreams.
So I am wary of ticks and whatever it was that Kate ate that made her drugged.
Anyway, I did take these beautiful shots. Time to start putting on insect repellant here.
