Well, I did it again. I was supposed to ( or so I thought) depart from nice to Amsterdam this morning at 7:35 am. I must remember that I must never book early flights from home it's ok if I'm coming home, but I have a Difficult time extracting myself and an impossible time planning on getting up and getting up early. I worry the day before , count hours and end up not being able to sleep.
This was the case last night. As I thought my flight was at 7:35, I planned on getting up at 4:30. I got into bed at 9 and turned the TV on. Big mistake! There was a big problem in Bpston and I needed to see what was going on. This got me thinking, and worrying. I still have a bad cold with lay down coughing. ( As in when you lay down you cant stop coughing.) I set the alarm for 5. I changed the sound from Revellie (sp) to bells as its so jarring. I tossed , coughed and turned for 2 hours and decided I needed to take part of an ambien, just a little nibble on one. Just like that I was asleep and just like that I woke up. I looked to the big door that covers the windows and I could see light coming through, daylight....oh no...
I looked at the clock, 6:28. Hell!
No point of even trying. I tried to go back to sleep, but I kept wondering about Boston. Also, my head decided that today was the day to start everything flowing like a waterfall through my sinuses. No more sleep for me.
I got up and looked to see when the next flight was. I didn't even see my flight on the website. I was too late to call the US AirF contact us number. I started getting ready, overpacking, making Kate nervous. I decided to call AirF. In France. As it turned out, my flight was actually at 7:35 pm.
I had to paya fine and then they booked me on the 12:35 flight. Here I am at the airport after flubbing the parking,...more to come...gotta get on the plane.
