She ate something on our hike. I don't know what as she is always eating and rolling out in the woods. I try to stop her but it's always too late.
She got ahold of something though that caused her to be drugged. After the walk we were in my living room with music on and S. say's..."Look at Kate, she's dancing to the music." I looked over and Kate was swaying back and forth with a glazed look on her face like a stoner at a Green Day concert. Oh no...that was not right. We checked her out and could see that she was really off. Luckily I was able to reach people locally that gave me info as to getting to a vet that was open. We loaded her into the car and took her to a clinic. It was about 8pm. They kept her for a few hours, put her on an IV and then called me around 11 to pick her up as she was upset to be there.
She slept with me all night. She almost fell off the bed a few times. The next morning she was better, but clung to me...everywhere I met she was glued to me.
Too bad she won't learn a lesson not to eat everything in sight.
