A Modern Manet in Italy

Today I had a very in depth tour of Imperial Rome. The docent was an art history professor, American living in Rome for 16 years. He was so enthusiastic that the tour was great. There were a young Danish Couple on the tour too. Just the 4 of us. It was fascinating. I could have gone on for another 3 hours. It covered so many things that I didn't know, places I had not seen weaved into Roman neighborhoods.
It was funny as he had not travelled to many ancient Roman sites, places that I have been too, but my pronunciation of many of the places is terrible. I feel terrible that I don't have a great education in art history , but, I do have the experience of being in many of the sites and reading a lot. We have taken different roads. I wish I could go back to school...maybe someday.
I did ot bring my big camera today. My skeletal system and my feet are protesting. Yesterday, I walked everywhere. I took the bus once but I ended up across the river, way out of the way of where I was going so had to walk more. Today, I decided not to drag the big camera around.

Anyway, at the end of the tour we were in Piazza Navona to see the Bernini Fountains. It was packed but looking up, I saw these 3 women. What a great vision. I wish I had had a decent camera with me or wasn't afraid to go and really shoot this.
