French

I had some good opportunities to immerse today. I love going to the dry cleaner. The woman is so nice. She is a sassy red head ( almost orange)  and she is always dressed up to work in this tiny grey plastic filled shop. In the bathroom, she has a wall sized poster of a certain actor that is married to a famous woman ( they have many adopted children) ...anyway the photo is from a cosmetic campaign...
I digress.
I had her to myself today. I came prepared with my question written out...do you know someone who sews...lucky for me, she does. So she took in a dress for me and we chatted. I can almost understand her when she goes off and forgets that I need her to slow down. She told me...like many many French people have...that French is very hard. How do they know?
For instance, would I say that English is hard...I don't think so, just as hard as other languages...perhaps the French hear people struggling a lot with pronunciation so they know. It's curious though...so many French people have said the same thing to me.
Then I made 2 reservations over the phone...one for Emile's hair and one for mine. I bumbled through that, but I managed....and I went to the post office too.

At the post office I met a very nice Staffordshire terrier named Monty. His father was Scottish and lives in town with his French wife. Monty is small, compact with not an once of fat on his tough little body. He was as sweet as can be, but very strong. When you think of a pit bull, this is where it came from. Monty is about half the size and much better looking than your regular pit bull. He was all over dark brown. I had a nice chat with his Father and made a new friend.

The weather is really nice...about 80 at he highest. Last night I got up in the middle of the night to look at the moon. It was incredibly strong. It's supposed to go on like this for 2 more nights.

I went back to my crazy free step classes. I feel so uncoordinated, but I keep at it. The class is fun and a great workout.

Need to photograph abstracts....falling behind.
I have a big dahlia that I brought from home about to bloom.
