I got back from Menton and relalized there was a big event in my own town tonight. They have this a few times over the summer. I went to meet my friend S. and his wife P and we wandered around.
A few people said some things to me and I understood, as my French is getting better.
I might have been judged as being "serious" as I did not want to try that awful nougat that they try to push on us.
M. Lambert was having a dinner party in his Brocante. He stood up and welcomed me in.I did pretty well with speaking and understanding. I get the feeling that I am a novelty...an American woman in the village.
I would like to do some more photography of the lace making. It's so pretty and intricate.
