For years (!!!) I have been trying to get into The Domus Aurea....Nero's Golden Palace. They are opening it on weekends. During the week, the archeologists are working on it, so you can only see it on the weekends. I found the tour to get in...you can only go with a tour and it's 75 minutes long. Hard hats required.

| This is a tall rounded ceiling where people in the Renaissance were lowered down on a rope through to look at the frescoes. There is graffiti from famous Renaissance people. Raphael is one painter that was known to have seen the frescoses here. This ceing isa about 70 ft high |
