Todays Randoneé

I love these little weeds. They are pretty little circles of green.
We hiked on a small path around a mountain ridge where you see the purple marker.

I had to drive across this scary one lane bridge in the distance.

Kate leads the way.

Rolling

It was a beautiful day so we piled into the car and set off for  a hiking trail. We ended up below Tourettes sur Loup on a trail called Piste Mouard. I was very happy to see crocuses at the beginning of this trail. There were many yellow butterflies, the first i've see,
The trail follows a ridge around a mountainside. Everywhere you go here you see old crumbling brick walls covered in moss. I think that they are for planting down the side of a mountain but now the woods has taken over.
We came across  old  dilapidated stone house that had trees going up through the middle of it. We didn't see anyone and we hiked for about 2 hours.
The trails are marked well but I am still very careful. This trail says that it's a circuit, which means it will come back around again like a circle, but after an hour we turned around.
