Much more successful. This time in Antibes. My friend C. set up this appointment for me. I still had a few doors to get through. From my last experience, I knew there would be a waiting room somewhere and I found it. I sat down amongst 4 other people that were waiting for their doctor. There were a few doctors in this office. A man came in and asked for me. I could not even begin to understand him...even saying my name, I couldn't understand. I did understand when he said..."for green card"? YIKES! green card...I said no....for certificate for skiing in the Alps. One man in the room busted out a big laugh.
The man said...follow me.
Truthfully, I don't know what language he was speaking at that point, English of French.
I managed to get in to see the doctor. She didn't even seem like a doctor. She had on a white coat, but unlike the doctors I have been to.
The doctors in the US command much more respect. It was very interesting. The doctor was very nice. She gave me the certificate and a prescription for a shot. ( dysentery, tetanus and polio)
You go to the Pharmacy, get the shot, put it in your fridge and then bring it back to the doctor for them you give it to you.
wow...that's different. She asked me if I had my record of shots....Do most people have a record of shots after they go through childhood?
So, I am to go through the shot process.
More fodder.
