After a nap and a big meal ( for the dogs) I took them to the little park across the valley ...about 3 minutes by car. All of us were so happy to be out in the winter woods. There were small oak leaves on the ground, moss and acorns. The views of the houses and files around the park were so beautiful, I can't wait until spring. I think there will be trees blossoming in that orchard that you see in the picture. It was a very gray day. Tonight they are sound asleep and safe. Kate has been talking and barking in her sleep. We went out for a constitutional before bed. There are so many stars visible at night as we are away from anything commercial. We waled on he grass under an old olive tree with just the light from he back door...so beautiful. You can see a haze of smoke in the dark from houses that have fires going. The dogs make you get out and experience the land. I missed them so much.
