French Conversation Meeting

I signed up for some french English conversation meetings. It required me to drive into Nice into an area that I had never been to before and to find parking and to meet new people. That's a tall order for me. It was a good thing that I left early. It cut down on the stress.
I  set Glenda Pauline Smith (GPS) for the address and set off in hopes that I would make it there in time.
She and I disagreed upon the way to go. She kept telling me to go to the right , but I kept going straight as I started to believe in myself more than her.
She kept taking and giving me orders until right at the crucial spot, I let her guide me. I realized I had made a mistake when I was in a very narrow tunnel and she tells me that I have arrived at my destination.
I eventually figured it out, found a parking garage and began that adventure.
The meeting was great. I find that it takes me awhile to warm up and then I am talking ok. It took me 2 partners to finically feel more comfortable. If you like to talk and are bilingual and lonely, this is the place for you...or if no one wants to listen to you anymore. The man in the picture with his back to us can talk and talk and talk. Still trying to imagine what the flowers that are 3 feet high and blue are that are at the base of the Alps and where to find them. He was nonstop.
All the English speakers were shy.
Will write more later.
